...Just as I finally finished a bunch of housework and collapsed on the couch, I got a cal from Peaty..."Hey hon, do you still have that fez? Can I borrow it? I'm doing a burlesque, and it's Carnival night!"
Well, what could I say to that? I loaded Peaty up with sparkly things and my fez, threatened dire things if the fez didn't come back in one piece, and spent much of the rest of the night with Ben the Neighbor, helping Peaty get ready for his new job as a burlesque dancer at a club downtown...he's even got a pocket rigged up for taking out one of the pet doves he has for using in his magician act. I won't even tell you where that pocket is. *blushes furiously* Our little Peaty's dancing the cooch to pay the bills, people... (If people want to see, he's at the Brass Rail on Thursday nights. I would have gone to see, but I was just whipped from work, feet like sausages.)
I spent the rest of the night hanging out with Ben the Neighbor, snarking at bad TV and petting Alfred the bunny-rabbit. I am totally smitten. If Rocky the Neighbor keeps his word and gets bunnies for his yard in the spring, I am volunteering to be co-mama. *sob* It doesn't help that Alfred keeps cuting me out, by climbing up to my shoulders and tossing his ears and being all cute and fluffy. My black coat is covered by white hairs...and I love it...
