A longer list of things than usual...

Sorry I've been off-radar for a while. Between the Russian Freakout and life in general, I haven't been on very much. So, a few things to catch up...

It's been wicked hot and humid, like being licked by a very large, heavy wet dog tongue all day long. It cooled off just a little bit this afternoon with a wicked-looking storm, but we seem to be creeping back up to humid. Humph...

Last week I was in a bit of a depressed space--a friend of mine is having a *very* messy breakup, and all the people who know and love my friend are somewhere in between sad and angry, resigned and frustrated about the whole business. I will miss my friend's ex, but not the person he's become recently. But it's almost all over now...and it's a relief.

It's too hot to spin. Which doesn't stop me trying. I am a complete and utter addict...

I went to go see my pal the Gaily-Waily at Red-Hot Art this weekend, an art-fair sort of thing in a park near our work. It was great to see her and some other people too, but Red-Hot Art lived up to it's name, and Gail got heatstroke and didn't go to day 2. Poor thing...but I know she's better, since she posted a crocheted bumblebee at my Facebook page...

The mosquitoes are eating the snot out of everybody...my garden is a total weed-mess because of it. Not because, erm, I'm too lazy to weed it, no way! It's the mosquitoes! They keep beating me up and stealing my lunch money, I swear!

There may be a Rogue Docent tour in early September, be warned. Details to follow, when I make them up...

And now I'm sitting in my kitchen, eating spaghetti carbonara and being grateful for the quiet after the storm...
