Back to the Mac!!!
Feb. 19th, 2002 09:10 amWatch these fingers FLY, baby, FLY!!!
*There is some seriously fast typing going on right here because I have a keyboard that does what I need it to...wheeeeeeee!!!!!*
After I got kicked off the Library computer for the seventh time in a row accesing Hotmail, I trotted off to the Used Bookshop and bought 50 cent books. (The letching crazies don't go in there, either--they might have to read or something. That's not really fair, I guess I was just that annoyed by the umpteenth sleazy pickup line.) And then I blew all that thriftyness by running over to Big Brains and buying all three Hectic Planet compilation-books. (Say it loud; I'm a geek and I'm proud!!)
I dreamed about an outdoor festival. (again!) And rain, and rats in the trees, and a seriously large King snake slithering around, the kind with the black and white and red bars. (I didn't get the feeling it was dangerous, just, well...you respect a King snake when it's the size of an anaconda:) I dreamed about rain, and when I woke up the ground was wet. Was it raining and I incorporated it? (this is FEbruary, in Minnesota, and the weather is really unusally warm.) I miss rain in the winter.
I'm blathering...I've missed this a little, can you tell?

Would it help if you were just part of my Artistic Mailing List? I have one, you know--people I randomly send arty things to.
(that way you would have the comfort of not being the only one with a squirrel head or a rock with a spooky eyeball in it or a Reproduction American Clue Stick.) And, uhhhh...you missed out on Christmas? * quickly thinks of other excuses* It's St. Magda the Annoying's birthday? My mother will come beat you up?

Date: 2002-02-20 11:06 am (UTC)Or I could just tell you what it was...How's that for evil? *ahem*
( It's a tiny ofrenda, complete with little skeleton person, tiny sketchbook, and a piece of chocolate cake on a little table...there's glitter in it, too....)

Re:
Date: 2002-02-20 12:41 pm (UTC)It was a lot of fun, making all the tiny bits:)
I mean, honest, you don't have to have it, but that doesn't mean I can't describe it to you. *grin* It's like a little theatre without the curtains, in red and white with weathered bits.
And I do make stuff for other LJ pals, just go ask them. (ElysianGirl just got my valentine, and Kevin, Cyn and Joei all have Clue-sticks.
Cyn and Kevin both have dolls I made for them as well...It's honestly something I like to do...)

Re:
Date: 2002-02-20 02:20 pm (UTC)I have the perfect reason...pay attention, now!!!
Okay...I put in that cd you gave me and gave it a listen, and thought, "Oh, that's pretty cool!" Then I gave it a more detailed listen and checked out the words on the cd jacket and was quietly amazed. I found a lot of it poignant and...catchy. So now I'm humming bits of it at work. And people like it, because they ask what the hell I'm humming....
So YOU,you sneaky little Lego man, you've got this whole long soundtrack stuck IN MY HEAD.
Especially the damn "Happy" part at the very end of the CD that's acapella!!! ARRRGH!!!
I demand.....payback!!!! Yes indeed I do. Don't see it as a gift. See it as a diabolical attempt to cast voodoo spells on you and make you dream of tiny skeleton people!!! AAAAHAHAHAHAAAA!!!!
*stifles evil laughter*
And if that doesn;t work.....I'll snivel and beg.

Date: 2002-02-20 07:58 pm (UTC)It'll be fun to see what other magic you cook up for me...'course, I'd go willingly. ;)
It's easier with you making it than if you'd bought it, but...if you're gonna send it, you'd better do it quick, 'fore I change my mind and tell you I'm unworthy again...
...and I'm glad that you like the CD. It didn't seem like your kinda music, but...then again, I listen to that stuff too, sometimes, and to all sorts of other kinds of music too, so who'm I to stereotype...
While we're at it...you don't seem...very goth to me. Maybe perkygoff, but...you're more...Mausi than anything else...
Re:
Date: 2002-02-21 07:06 am (UTC)And I do like that Cd...It's such an interesting progression fomr the beginning to the end of a relationship...I could really relate to quite a bit of it. (And it's wonderfully ear-catching in many parts.) Yes, it's not very Gothic, I have eclectic tastes in music...(Comes from wanting to listen to ANYthing but Skynerd growing up...*retching noises*)
As for the Goth thing...*chuckle* I actually am a quarter Visigoth by birth. (they apparently sacked some other ancestors in the Middle Ages, got deported to Krasnoyarsk in a Russian Land-rush, became absorbed by the Cossacks, and ran away to the New World before Lenin took power.) I'm OLD-School, Bebeh!!! (And my Bauhaus collection is the envy of all who see it.) Won't deny the perkiness, though.*grin*
Speaking of sending stuff...a while back a couple of friends and I got together and wrote a really funny story. (It's very uhhh...gothic!!! And there's mad scientists and captive frogs and such!) I can send an e-mail of it if you'd like to read it.

"Do you know how long I've waited to get you in the sack?"
*rimshot*

Allright, who saw that one coming?
*Hand sticks out of the sack, and yells of, "mee!! mee!"fill the air.*
It was cute, though.:)
Hmm..I wonder what you'd read if I was there in person...my aura? My grinning yet shy expression? My palms? I have a feeling that it would be like reading a goofy graphic novel after a couple of beers...
(and I wonder what reading you would be like...Oh my...)
