Ms Eff's Pretentious Poetry Corner...
Feb. 19th, 2002 04:17 pmSometimes the words I have
aren't up for the job.
They resent being taken away from a well-deserved coffee and doughnuts break and being forced to jump through metaphorical hoops.
On a full stomach, no less.
I've thought about using other words, other languages,
but the Union my words belong to says an emphatic "No"
(They're very strict about me seeing other languages, very jealous.)
I'm already pushing my luck with all the French I used to conjugate with.
So I'm stuck with the ones I have;
toddling through their paces.
The lazy bastards.
