Didja miss me?

I tripped and fell really hard in the intersection near work yesterday--right before the light was going to change for the cars. (You know, you can move *really* fast even with ripped up knees if you have to.) My work patched me up, and since I was still shaking and in shock they sent me home to recover. Thus no posting yesterday. I mostly shook and slept and tried to relax and kept ice on my knees.
(They're pretty bruised, but no swelling.)

Today I'm okay...just stiff. Really stiff. and I'm not kneeling on *anything.*

lying in the street is one of the more embarassing positions a person can be in. i did it the last time i was in new orleans too. drunk, walking along, just fell over into the street. almost too drunk to be embarassed though.

i fell down the stairs at my mailbox yesterday. and of course it was the one day someone was there to see it. and it was in slow motion. and i didn't even know i had fallen until i was lying on the ground. musta been a sympathy fall.

It was so frustrating--I remember being a little kid and just shaking this off, and now I'm older I went into shock and had to be sent home!!!! What the hell happened?!?!?

and as for what you missed with me, I just made a post saying "If I have your address, you're doomed to get a graduation announcement from me cause I wanna share it with people but i don't wanna shove it down your throats either cause i know how some people don't think it (getting an announcement when you can't be at the cerimony) is that big of a deal and that's cool if you're like that, I don't understand it but it's cool, so if you want one and I don't have your address, speak up, if you think I may have your address and you want one better be sure or you're not getting one"...

And for the record, Ms Maus, you are firmly on the "doomed to get one" list, unless you say you want off it... :)

Hope your knees are feeling better. I blame the full moon this week. I actually fell "up" the stairs at the subway the other morning. What is that about?? What a spaz. One bruised knee, two dirty bruised palms, and a morbidly bruised ego.
