A quick poem...
Dec. 20th, 2000 04:54 pmSnow and gray and cold
ice and darkness calling me;
I must go outside...
What an awful (and I do mean awful) amount of poetry has been written today...I wonder what it would be like to bind it all in a book with a fancy hand-made paper cover and present it to the other people writing it...or even complete strangers...(Imagine the slide from, 'Oh, how pretty!! to "What IS this, anyway? Bleagh!")
At lest poetry, like chess and Jello-wrestling, keeps the mind sharp and focused, delaying the slide into Winter's cold, clammy fingers. (I don't think the Midwest has seen sun in about a week, and I sure haven't. Time for a full-spectrum light and a moon-orchid, I think. Okay, now you're thinking, "Why an orchid? What does that do for Seasonal Affectedness Disorder?" Umm. they're pretty? I confess, I just want one, and after the holidays will be on a quest for the right one.)
Anyway, I'm off to home to do mundane stuff like washing clothes, (big suprise--load of darks:) and working on the fairy dolly. (I obtained a possible cloak-dress material for it--gold metal mesh, very pretty. When I'm done I'll take pictures.)
Ms Fledermaus...Trudging through the snow, lalalalalaaa, grumbling all the waaay...Just kidding:)
