I just saw "Drop Dead Gorgeous"...as a Minnesotan, it scared the hell out of me. In the best possible way, ya know. Ohhhh, golly, that Kirstie Alley is a bad lady there...

*chuckles*

Mind the Lutefisk, there, Kirstie.

I was discussing with Ben the weirdness of just about everyone we know having dating troubles...We both suspect it's something astrological...or alien shock treatments while we sleep?
BEN: Naaah....maybe next week.
Me: Damn, that was the only date I had going this week!!!

Let's see what Cynthia Heimel has to say about our ephiphany..
"You wouldn't believe the boots I bought once. Putrid green. There was fringe involved, and I believe some silver studs. Maybe not, I can't bear to open the books and look at them."
Ummm...that wasn't very helpful. So much for the "point randomly at a sentence for the Wisdom of the Universe" theory. Maybe if I had a National Georgraphic or something? Whaddaya think?

Why can't everyone just "soak up the sun and lighten up," to quote Sheryl Crow. My opinion is that it is highly improbable for two people to like each other at the same time, much less love. We have such long lists for our perfect soulmate to fit that we can't do it without the intervention of a matchmaker (or a group of enlightened and omniscient friends)... Maybe it's the stars, too... The fundamental problem with dating in the 21st century is that 1) I can't do it because I'm married and 2) we live in a world where you can afford to make very few bad decisions without permanent consequences...

Lutefisk?
Sssssshhhh, not so loud, my mom could hear you! *giggles*
Yeah, she actually likes that stuff! :|
Now, how anyone would eat lutefisk by their own free will is waaay beyond me. Urgh.

I especially agree with the second observation...with everything, really. I've been trying not to worry about it, there are advantages to being single.

Mom & my grandparents usually treat themselves to a lovely lutefisk dinner a couple of days before Christmas... Dad, Kenneth and I order pizza or something and shut all the windows and doors so we won't smell the, uhm, delicious "food" they're having downstairs...urgh.
