Leonora Carrington, I love you....
Aug. 23rd, 2002 08:20 amSirreal, thanks again for the loan of The Hearing Trumpet. Leonora Carrington and Remedios Varo are two of my favorite fairy godmothers. What a great book to have for getting older, too...Methinks I have to get me my own copy to have when I eventually get sent to a home with Cynnerth and Serendipity in our doddery old age...we'll cut up and have a strike and bribe the nurses with chocolate, and dance ancient dances in the garden, (slowly, the arthritis, you know) and I will have the finest nitro-burning funnycar engine in my wheelchair...
Meanwhile I'm still young, free, and have a fistful of free tickets to the Renaissance Festival. Huzzah!!! Who's with me? All the beer and strumpets you can carry!!! *grins that crazy little grin* Maybe we can find a hearing trumpet for the strumets? Oh dear....
