msfledermaus*occasional flames shoot out of the mouths of the huge tikis in every corner while behind the breakfast bar your intrepid Ms Fledermaus, decked out in coconut bra and grass skirt over her work clothes finishes brewing coffee and gets out tiny paper umbrellas and whipped cream.... There is Don Ho music in the background, a heap of grass skirts near the bar, and little red paper lanterns hanging from the ceiling....*

Date: 2002-08-28 09:51 am (UTC)it was ok. we got to see the birdies, and i got to pet some (who looooved me!) which i hadn't been able to do in like 5 years now. i forgot how much i liked birds.
there were some there though that were "pluckers"- one parrot had plucked all the feathers off of his body. it was really bizarre and sad, because here was this parrot head with these brilliant feathers and his body looked like a living raw chicken. i was mostly sad.
*sips*
then i got my shower and promptly fell asleep while we were watching a movie. with my hair wet while i slept, i had to put it up this morning. it looks cute, but i keep thinking it's going to fall down, seeing as i'm only using bobby pins.
*checks hair* it's ok for now though.
*adjusts grass skirt* who knew these things were so comfy?
