Ooog...time for the caffeine drip in the arm...

And maybe some thorazine when I get back from work.

If ANYONE gives me a rough time, I'll just tell them, "Look, my building had a damn fire at 3 am last night, so you're lucky you have me at all today." and if that doesn't shut anyone up I'll drop a box of copy paper on their foot.

Rassing frassing...don't mess with groggy Mauses, grrr....

Hopefully your Monday will be a good one. Nice and relaxing and full of free hot chocolate. If it isn't, it should be.

::Hugs::

Fires suck, and irresponsible people who catch their couches on fire so you have to get up out of a perfectly comfortable bed suck worse.

And Yay Ben for having a carrier handy to scoop the little fur ball into.

I will never understand a pet owner that doesn't have plans for their pet included in their emergency response.

Little Helper wasn't a happy camper, but I'm sure glad Ben has that carrier.

I'm not liking this whole fire thing, nope nope...

Well, I can certainly see that.

I've been lucky lately, we haven't had the fire alarm go off in a bit over a year now.

There was one summer when it went off like 5 times. It's the same alarm system for a complex of 6 buildings,. and I'm pretty sure most of those 5 times were just pranksters pulling fire alarms.

Scarey thing is that after hauling me and the furry kids out of the apartment the first couple times I just got to the point I'd go into the hallway and look for smoke, then walk out on to the patio to look at the apartments above me. If I didn't see anything, I didn't leave.

Thats why false alarms are so damn dangerous...people get used to the alarms, and don't go out when a real fire happens.

the other night while we were all standing out in the front a voice yelled from the first floor, "Like, is it a real fire?" and a bunch of us yelled back, "Yes it is!" Er...I don't know about most people, I can't sleep with that alarm going off...especially after now being in THREE fires:P
