I can't believe I MISSED the Michael Jackson documentary in favor of Jethro and his many would-be-brides. I MISSED it!!!
*Bonks head on floor*

I've always had a strange fascination-repulsion for Jacko as he got older, and stranger and less recognizable and more arguably clinically insane. It's like watching the life and times of Howard Hughes, or "Citizen Kane" with a funky beat.
It's rare in this society, where money is the ultimate buffer from the seething masses, to see how messed up money and fame can really make someone.

I can't believe I missed it!!! Hey, anyone who taped it, I'll pay for a dub!!!

I dunno, Mausi. You have some pretty freaky nightmares. Watching a Jacko documentary might torment your sleep for an indeterminate amount of time.

I saw some of it, but I thought it was a bit dull and didn't stay to the end. He's annoyed about it, but I can't see why. Maybe I missed the *really* wierd bits. Mostly he came across as a bit sad, besides the obvious fruitcakeness.

However, he did make me see the beauty of *huge* gilded urns. I must get some.

I saw a bit, and I don't watch much regular TV anymore. :)

I don't think there's any "arguably" left, though.

What, not much good tv, or not much Michael Jackson left?
I suppose the arguement could be used for both:)

Hmmm..I agree about the gilded urns:)

It is kind of sad, the whole thing really. I remember him as a kid, and all my friends really thought he was great when I was about 13 or 14...but even then he wasn't a well man.

Too true...Maan, he's looking more and more like Elizabeth Taylor all the time...not in a good way.

heh, I did have a funny moment when I saw Tommy chong on "that 70's show when they wer in Canada....I yelled, "Oh my god, that's BOB!!! YOU KILLED LAURA PALMER!!!!"

I taped it because I wanted to watch CSI at the same time. I'm not able to dub, but maybe I could work out something with Cyn or Kevin.

I watched an hour, switched to CSI and then came back and watched the last hour later at night. I think it might have been a bit much if I'd tried to watch all at once. I also taped Good Morning America this morning because they were going to do followup. I was hoping they'd have a picture of his face ten years ago and today, to compare. So weird. Pathetic.

Hee.

Mostly I watch semi-reality shows. Not the drama stuff, more like Junkyard Wars, Escape from Experiment Island, and Full Metal Challenge, which are like creative thinking/techie game shows.

And cartoons.

I took a poll this morning on whether Michael Jackson is "normal", "a little wacko", or "on another planet"...the last was MY guess, along with 76% of the people who took the poll...go figure, huh? I'm sorry I missed it too!! :o(
