I got home after work and a quick stop for supplies at the corner store and decided it was time for the Big guns since I still felt like hell. So, using everything I had and several big pages out of my herbalism books:

I made some quick chicken soup with six extra cloves of garlic.
Ate two raw ones along with the soup. Hoohah! Who's yer mommy?!?
Took cough medicine like a good Maus.
Made hot lemon goop with cloves and cinnamon and honey, and drank it in the tub while covered in the hottest water I could stand,
Talked to a friend on the phone for a while..okay not real bright, but it made me feel better, and the garlic was kicking in...
Watched "Joe Millionare"...okay, that made me sicker. Twisted producer bastards!!
Covered myself with every blanket I owned and slept hard.

I woke up feeling much improved, though nowhere near out of the woods yet. I've been chugging juice and foritfied stuff, and I'm bringing lemon juice to work for hot lemonades again. Tomorrow I should be able to get off with some work on my part.

someday I'll have more to talk about than this damn cold, but it's taking up all my time.:(

Altho I always love homemade soup, I keep Mrs. Grass' dry chicken soup on hand all the time, for "emergencies" such as colds, flu etc.
I also keep Puffs with Aloe so my nose doesn't get so sore, and Gatorade for hydration. With those things, and oatmeal, I can survive a seige and feel comforted. Maybe I need to add garlic.

Feel better!

...garlic for the chicken soup, that is..... I have added a lot of things to oatmeal (fruit, peanut butter, flavored extracts, for instance) but I just can't quite see oatmeal with garlic added.

to add
