I have tomorrow off as a sick day....
Feb. 11th, 2003 07:15 pmInsert "Tequila' dance here.....
I'm slowly getting better, but I definitly have bronchitis now.
So. More echinacea, maybe the last of that herbal tea ben the neighbor gave me a while back to help me sleep, with mint and skullcap and whatnot. I think when I feel better I need to hit the Wedge and stock up, since I've been drinking up my herbal cupboard. I'm out of candied ginger, and lemon balm, and almost out of chammomile. At least my bath bombs are keeping my spirits up:)
I'm fretting for a lot of my firends lately...seems we're all in various states of unease and unhappiness lately, for a myriad of reasons. Every now and again I keep wanting to say, "Screw it--We're all going to a nice LJ co-op somewhere pretty, where we'll grow plants and there will be soup in every pot, meaningful fun work, coffee outings and DSL in every home, bebeh!" *Siiiiiigh*....Granted if we did have a commune our closest neighbors would probably be a milita or those gun-toting-neo-Nazis down the road or something...
But I'm thinking of you. I hope you're all doing something good for yourself...even something small.
Small things are good, you know. So sez 5'4 me.

I'd share my tea, but the monitor keeps getting in the way...

Date: 2003-02-11 10:37 pm (UTC)Just remember, its your *duty* to consume as much garlic as possible to not only get better soon (which I hope you will) but to also "share" with your coworkers when you get back. They'll all know that you take your health seriously only if they smell garlic coming out of the pores of your skin....
PS: you have gun toting Neo nazi's down the street from you? ICK!

Date: 2003-02-12 06:31 am (UTC)I really hope you're actually taking care of yourself: getting rest, not beating yourself up about not being able to be social, calling certain Phiggies to come make you soup, etc.

die virus, DIE!
Actually, I don't have gun toting neao-Nazi's down the street from me...that I know of. But I lived in Bozeman for a few years, and about 10 miles in every direction out of town was some kind of scary militaristic compound--aryan nation, white power guys, CUT members...freaky. they all hated each other, too. I was just thinking about who would end up our neighbors if I started a utopian LJ society.*grin*
Re:

Re:
Date: 2003-02-12 10:53 am (UTC)Heh. I like Vegas:) It's so unashamedly crass and loud and garish! and Penn and Teller live there!
Re:
Date: 2003-02-12 11:19 am (UTC)I could see many good and bad points right away, most definitely. What's it like living there?
Penn is a crazed man..I got to be onstage when he was in town years ago with Teller. I had a cordless drill and was drilling the screws into the metamorphosis box with Penn talking a blue streak and throwing his boxers on my head. Hilarious.
Re:
Date: 2003-02-12 05:51 pm (UTC)I thought about moving to Vegas years ago, before I moved home to Minnesota, land of extremes. It's -12 below right now, windchill-20, and this summer will be high 90's with 90 percent humidity. Vegas can be no worse than that, surely:)
Keep poker out of the schools!!! Everybody know's it should be video blackjack!!!

I guess I'm too used to the other extreme...I think -12 is no big deal, but that 118 just shocks me!

There, you're all set!
