Art, shopping, comic treats...
Mar. 31st, 2003 07:58 am...I got to go to Hell's Kitchen again with Ben the Neighbor and Peter...Mmmmm, Yummy!!! And since Big Brains was right next door that was my first stop, with Pete in tow since he was willing to come shopping with me. I found many fun comicy treats, but the service wasn't the greatest I'd ever had...
Me: "Hey, do you know if there's any left of the #1 of Courtney Crumlin and the Coven of Mystics? The shelf seems to be out."
Counter guy: "Uhhhh...if it's not on the shelf it might be out of print, lady."
Me:...*puzzled pause* But it just came out a couple of months ago! That's too soon to be out of print..." *inner deprived grumble*
Anyway, Pete and I ran off to ze Red Dot Boutiue and I managed to get out after spending only $16. (I did smile sweetly at the cute security guard at the door. I theeenk he liked meeee...) I waded through the protests in Loring Park on the way home and read and painted and such for most of the night.
Christopher Walken is 60 today; MPR said so...Happy Birthday, Mr. Happy-Feet!!!
I meant to write a bit more of the story I was working on this weekend, but I kept having anxiety attacks. My own fault, I can't keep my ears of NPR these days...
*twitch twitch* War....bad....There is more coming, I promise you.
