msfledermausThings have been going slow for the Llewellyn proposal. I've got a new card mostly done, but a lot of my sketches I feel are too schmaltzy.:P This whole thing is going so sloooooowly...and they could *still* say no when I'm done. But at least I'm (kinda) productive. I've also got a show coming up in November--I'm sharing with someone else, but apparently most of the wall space will be mine mine mine! Good news,...and bad news, since I have to finish some nice big pieces to fill the lovely cawfee-shop space. (Yes, another cawfee shop. Most of the art galleries in town have either closed or had to charge bug bucks to stay afloat...just like everywhere, I reckon.)
I keep dreaming of buying a little bit of studio or office space and starting a weird boutique, filled with art and dolls and jewelry and knitted stuff. It would have to be very small, since I can't afford much and I don't want it to tank the minute I start it. I've been checking studio prices every now and again, more out of wistfulness than anything else.
Heh...guess what else I've been looking at? Knitting machines...I want to find a smallish one, something for a beginner. This is dangerous stuff...most of the people I see in Ornament magazine started out with a toy knitting machine, and then went on to the hard stuff. *grin* But think of alll the scarves I could make!
