msfledermausWork is hard lately...Mostly waaaay too quiet. Not a lot of talking. Except for that one cow irker, the irritating one.
I'm trying hard not to glue thumbtacks to his chair permanently.
I'm lonely at work now. Most of the people I really enjoyed have either moved to the other building, left, been laid off,or other horrible things have happened. I usually hole up at lunchtime and knit on the concourse, which helps a lot.
I've been trying to find sneaky fun things to do, since it's really dead right now but I have a job where I have to look busy for people:P Origami is sneaky and fun, and easy to palm. Writing bad poetry. Yesterday I got in a chapter of Harry Potter without people noticing.
Everything fun I do is a minute taken away from sterile environments and joyless hours. They're small victories, but I'll take any victories I get.
