Another Discovery Channel Moment...
Aug. 17th, 2003 08:42 pmThe Midwestern Fledermaus is well-known for hiding from the high heat of summer in her cosy home...
*Grainy shot of a Maus peeking behind the venetian blinds above the running a/c unit*
As the Fledermaus tends to burn easily, sometimes she will while away the hottest part of the day getting a cosy nest ready for autumn.
*shot of Maus-hands knitting obsessively, and clicking on several online yarn pages*
Though of course, supplies will occasionally run low, and the Fledermaus will have to venture out to forage.
*shot of a Maus lugging toilet paper, milk, popsicles and several zany videos home in plastic bags*
There are other ways of getting the Midwestern Fledermaus out of her yarn-lined abode in summertime. For example, the loud calls of 'Who wants to go swimmin'???" will usually have one appear very quickly. Howver, those who make the calls without having any water around will be vunerable to a potential attack by the disappinted Maus.
*shot of people getting snapped by towels*
And then there's always the necessity of work, which keeps the Fledermaus in yarn and popsicles.
*shot of Maus mumbling and trudging back and forth to large blocky building, needles in tow*
Tune in after this break for more docudrama, where we find the Fledermaus stalking your freezer for the cherry Garcia you bought just last night...
