Digging in the Mausifiles...

Today I've been rooting around in my old boxes, looking for an ancient laptop I want to give to the tallest guy I know... I *know* I've got the damn thing, but it's playing a really successful game of Hide and Seek.

At least I'm finding lots of stuff I've missed. Favorite books, old photos, 'zines, drawings. I found a stack of old watercolor paintings of mine. Tons of comics. Old postcards from Furrin' lands. Art supplies. A book of knitting stitches I picked up years ago before I could knit. But alas, alackaday and Goddammitallanyway...no ancient laptop. Maybe I already gave it to somebody and forgot I did it.
If that's so, maybe I can talk to my IS guy at work and see if he has anything old he's willing to unload.

I did feel good about throwing away about 3 boxes worth of stuff I don't need anymore. But that damn missing laptop is taunting meeee...
I'm sure it's waiting for me to stop looking for it and then will pop up, bold as brass...

It's been months since I lost a drawer from a little two-drawer box holding tapes. I've had several "digging through stuff" sessions and I still haven't found it. I may have to pack up and move before I find it.

I know that feeling...I found a box fulla books i thought I'd lost for years and years...

It's gonna be a nightmare when I actually start packing.

I finally found the mutha...underneath an old scanner I've got...typical for it to hide under allthe other electronics:P

Glad you found it - gets frustrating when they hide in plain sight (well, kind of, anyway) doesn't it?
