Okay, here's an idea.

Hold down the alt key and type 0101. (I don't know if you have an alt key, but it's supposed to make an "e".)

Then highlight it and cut or copy it into your clipboard. (Do Macs have clipboards?")

Then, whenever you want to type an "e", just paste it. On PC's, this is a ctrl+v. Not too tough.

This, of course, is more work for you, but at least your post looks better.
