forgive me, this is painful to listen to...it seems like such a waste of time for everyone involved in the speech...
Oh great, he's still trying to compare Iraqis to Al-quaida...& is bringing up 9-11...and bringing up WMd's. My head hurts....

I don't think he has answered one question. He talked around them but never answered them. I LOVED the guy that asked if he has ever admitted to making a mistake.

But his continual use of the word "I" when talking about everything that has been done. No use of "we" except saying that the bad guys hate "us". Not him. Anything that was done or decided he says it was his decision. Not the country's or the government's. "I" did it.

maaan, the way he's stumbling around with the non-answers ...it's painful...
And way too many things to catch him on....ooog...He's rally pissed off, too...he's desperately trying to court the military families, an it's not going well at all...

I've noticed that too. And I like the last guy who pointed out he hasn't had many press conferences. I'm surprised that so many of the journalists actually came close to attacking him. And that he said that the "war on terror" can be won and no one laughed.

I'm surprised Chaney let him out of the oval office. Guess things are not going so well, if they are executing damage control at this level.

I'm sitting in my 50's fall out shelter with my arms over my head. I'm embarassed for this country, as this speach goes world wide.

That reminds me of that Far Side cartoon.

What people say:

"Ginger, you bad dog! Look at the awful mess you made! Go outside right now, Ginger!"

What dogs hear:

"Ginger blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah. Blah blah blah blah blah Ginger."

Hmmm...that matches my observations...they're trying to get back the military families they've pretty much left out to dry...

They used to have an iron clad grip on the journalists and questions at those things.

Well, I was surprised because up until relatively recently it seems none of the main news organizations were willing to even come close to saying the administration was doing anything wrong, let alone that Bush made mistakes. It gives me some hope for journalism again.

All I was thinking was I missed "24" for this?

OK, I'll grant him one thing. Iraq is not an never will be Vietnam. All but 2 members of congress approved the 1964 Gulf of Tonkin resolution. At least 125 opposed the legislative rubber stamp for the war in on Iraq.

Happy thoughts... George Bush sticks foot in own face but the mainstream media don't notice. Apolitical happy thoughts, then...
