I fed a baby bird part of my sandwich this morning...

There's a pigeon that was sitting by a linden tree while I was on my way to work. He was there last night on my way home, and he was there this morning, too. I think he may be too young to fly--he has no feathers on his head yet or anything, but his wings seem okay. I didn't want to pick him up in case he was hurt, so I left him some sandwich crust to peck at.
I just hope a neighborhood cat doesn't find him before he can fly or waddle off on his own...

I'm feeling a little off today...yesterday too, only more so. I'm not sick exactly, just a little throaty and my stomach's been a little fidgety. I called off a dinner date last night and slept for about 10 hours...this morning I had a flurry of washing and cleaning that made me feel better, if a little tweaked. (Cleaning up always makes me a little hyper and anxious.) Maybe I should go easy on things like caffeine today if I'm already not feeling well.

I got a cascade of old LJ replies in my hotmail this morning...so if I'm slow in replying, I blame the technology. Pfeh...

I don't want to upset your stomach more, BUT. . . .

As I was scrolling past your entry to get to the older posts I thought I saw "I ate a baby bird" and "part of my sandwich". I thought "NO! She must be making a joke!" Then I saw it was "fed", not "ate". Whoooo.
