Yaargh. I'm late for work. I would have been here sooner but I had a rear-ended taxicab to deal with on the freeway. (Bri and I were coming in from Bloomington..and we had a late start anyway. Grumble grumble)

When I got here my coworker John was standing in the hall with a worried look on his face, which cleared when he saw me. "Oh, THERE you are!!!You're never late, what happened, I was worried!!!"
I told him and my boss about being stuck behind the
accident. The phone rang immediately with some stupid woman asking if stuff sent to someone who's left their position would still be sent to the Walker, and I told her in a VERY proffessional and annoyed voice that it would but she'd better update her *Goddamn 3 years out of date* list, and fast.
three times--she acted as if I was speaking a dialect of Mandarin. I contemplated just making up stupid noises to se if that would help, but remembered I was at work and ˆ HAVEN'T HAD ANY COFFEE and hung up graciously.

I still don't have an freakin' coffee.

My weekend was really nice, though.

I Freakin' love Mondays.

MS Eff, plowing through the mountian of paperwork and jonesing for a good caramel latte....maybe I can sneak out for some Office Gloop...

I got a good polaroid shot of a big yellow truck that completely lost its wheel (rim and everything) and flipped over enough times to land on its three remaining wheels across three of the five lanes of traffic during morning rush hour. I happened to be about 10 cars back when all this ruckous took place, so I beat everyone into work!

I was efficient and started the coffee pot for all the late-ones piddling in after me and complaining about traffic and telling stories of rolling trucks and bounding tires.

Mom's day was ok. Sweet memories and retrospectives. Did the good step-daughter thing and wished my step-mother and her mother a wonderful mother's day in texas. Sent mushy cards so they'd get there early.

My sister and I celebrated as usual by sending each other mom's day cards in honor of our mother. Beautiful ness. :)

How was your weekend?

arrgh...my sister is out there in a truck. I'm always worried that she's going to be involved in an accident like that. Was anyone hurt in the one you witnessed?

big yellow truck

The truck managed not to hit anything else as it was rolling down the highway. A guy with a big yellow light turned it on and everyone managed to stop. The truck driver looked fine. He was climbing out of the truck and looking around as I drove past and snapped the picture. All is well.

I called my mom, and am getting a package together for my mom and stepdad. It's late, but so's their stuff for me:)

For me, it's Father's day that's really strange.
My Bio-dad is a distant, psychotic stranger.Kim's been dead for 20 years. My current stepdad is a wonderful, generous man, but he came in the picture kind of late. I'm glad you and your sister remember your mother to each other. That sounds sweet and sad, and very important....

Love, Ms Eff, giving your hand a squeeze.
