I dunno whether to laugh or cry.

*Scrabbles around for a tea bag in her purse*

Nothing. I drank all the tea I had. Dammmity damn damn!!!

Ms Eff, counting change to see if she has enough for a goddamn soda. (I do. Pity I'm not into soda. But right now I'm not picky.)

No coffee in the coffee pot?!?! Good god, woman...this is an emergency!! We have coffee brewing here in the office all day long. Want me to hop in my car and run some over there for you?

I'm like you - I'll drink soda in an emergency, for the caffeine effect.

But we used to call it pop - has the Twin Cities lingo changed, too?

No, it's still Pop but I'm a Navy Brat Minnesotan--I sometimes lapse into a "Soda" from time to time.

or "Sodapop" to combine cultures:)

Ms Eff, noncaffeinated still...RRRRRrrrrr.

In Texas...we just call everything Coke...as in:

Person A: I'd like a coke.
Person B: What kind?
Person A: Sprite

I guess Coke marketing really works down in Texas.

*grin* I had a roommate from Makin, Georgia that did the same thing. I always giggled. (But seriously, we're worse, here in Minnesota--we have "Hot Dish" Scarry stuff:)

I also had the privilege of introducing her to her first bagel. She was *highly* suspicious of it.
(Hey, early 90's!) But eventually it's bready goodness won her over.

MS Eff, drinking a big Pop..no, soda..no, diet Coke!! (it is coke today:)

Victory is mine!

I've pretty much become acclimated to the "soda" thing. But maybe I should come outta the closet and say POP, say it loud and say it proud!

Yes, I, Serendipity, drink POP, so there! Phhbbtt!
