...I dreampt I was talking to an old friend in a bar in...Stillwater? Northfield? Somewhere in a cafe, dark and full of earth tones. In the dream she was a TA, and much happier than I remember her being when we knew each other. I told her about my job. She was worried for me...
I guess this means I should keep looking for stuff on the U of M job website...free tuition might not be such a bad thing, really. Though if I really wanted classes, Depth of Field's got some mighty tempting class offerings....I could play with the spinning wheel and stuff. As long as I don't slip and wake up 100 years later or something:)

At least I'm painting again...I had a lot of fun working on a birthday present for something, and all the neural stuff that goes with the painting process keeps clamoring, "More more more!" It's gonna take awhile to get back up to scratch, and I have some old pieces I want to rearrange, reglue, regroup.
Another friend of mine has work up in a gallery for outsider artists. I suppose technically I fall into that category. I want to go see Rob the Lemur-Boy's work up on a wall again, anyway...and they have a boutique, suitable for Mausi-knits. Couldn't hurt.

And it helps to remind me that, until I can replace it, the Inferno should not have to define my worth as a human being..insidious how jobs can do that. Product of spending most of your waking hours there, I know...
which is why I still bring knit stuff to work. Every minute I spend playing with yarn is a minute they can't have.

So there you are...

Mm, yes .. that can be hard sometimes because we DO spend so much time there. Have you ever noticed too, that when you are getting to know someone, one of the first things they ask is "so, what do YOU do?", meaning what is your job. Interesting.

Yay! I'm so glad you are painting! You rock.
At least you are paying the rent successfully. There is that.
