msfledermausSounds like an art reviewer's interviewing a friend of mone for a weekly paper. They're meeting as Gus Lucky's where Rob's setting up his show, and possibly staying for the group critique. Too cool!!!
I am so very proud of Rob, even though he still makes those old-man-lips at me he knows I hate.
thus, I have...a poem.
MY FRIEND ROB.
He wears 3 piece suits every day
in stylish colors
and pins and cufflinks
from unusual sources
that make me laugh or frown or both.
He has sharp blue eyes
behind wire-rimmed glasses
that brighten
when he thinks of something horrible.
He can make lemur noises
whenever he feels like it.
He made a cat-sculpture
to hiss and yowl constantly at people
and stuck it by the Director's office
For a whole month.
He loves his USSR hat and coat
in the winter.
He guards other people's art
so he can get a break from being annoying
working for 411.
There is a *grin*
he does
when he's thought of another way
to be a pest.
He takes sequins and black velvet
and makes a painting which is recognizably doggish
and yet has the Taco Bell logo
hidden in it's ear.
He's a weird mama-jamma,
and he's my friend.
Ms Eff,grateful for the people I meet in this life.
