Nesting in a warm, wooly maus-nest...
Feb. 6th, 2005 04:14 pmI'm enjoying my quiet Sunday afternoon...
I got abducted by my friend Lakesha last night, and ate sushi and cake and ran around buying books and beat-up on-sale videotapes. (I found a marked-down copy of Roald Dahl's "The Witches." I'm a lucky creature, oh yes I am.)
Today? Feeling verrrrry lazzzzzy...I got invited to an Imbolc party tonight with Ben and Petey. I love them so, but I don't really feel like a party today. Even though they have curry. And a few x-mas presents from other friends I haven't gotten yet. And tea. Dammit, I may have to go, huh? Why did they have to have this thing on a Sunday, anyway? I have nerve-wracking stuff to do tomorrow; I'm not in a party mood...
Some of that involves still waiting for the MIA's decision...they hadn't decided yet on Friday. I'm looking around for other job postings in case they decide no for some reason. And tomorrow I should put in my "I have jury duty, you'd better have someone ready to cover for me" e-mail to the scheduler. At least now I've gotten a kind of Zen about the job hunting and the jury duty...for the one, I'm doing what I can, and for the other, well, you can't fight City Hall...and any reason to make the Inferno pay for me sitting and knitting is a Good Thing:)
so there you are, so far as I know...
