I got a late start today--damn you, addicting Cryptonomicon!!! Neal Stephenson would be on my shit list if he wasn't sooooo good. I just got to the bit about the shipwrecked Japanese seamen and New Guinea and Goto Dengo running into the cannibals...and realizing I had to wash my dishes, put on socks, water my plants, dump something in a Tupperware container for lunch, take off socks because they don't really match, find my watch, stuff the book in my backpack, put on my *goddamn* socks, untangle my scarves, get my boots on, and run out the door...and back again because I forgot my lunch. 5 minutes, bebeh. I am Grand Visir of the desparate work-scramble.


And now I'm here...

And soon I will be over there...

And eventually I will be out there, somewhere.
