msfledermausI was a happy creature last night...
I had a nice big box of Lush bath goop waiting for me, which made me dance around my kitchen with avaricious glee. Then I made a red tomato chicken curry with lots of mushrooms. My friend Lakesha came over with all kinds of pictures from the last time we went out. We snarfed our curry, and got on the subject of British comedies...She's a big Benny Hill fan. (When was the last time I've seen Benny Hill? I remember watching it as a kid. That may explain some things about my personality, now that I think about it.) I popped in a Young Ones tape since she'd never seen any, and spent the rest of the night howling and pointing and shrieking, "Hands up! Who likes ME?!" We watched the Motorhead episdode with the actor who played Hagrid concealing a sticky bun from Mr. Not-the-Nine-o'Clock-News...which looked amazingly like the eclairs I just bought for dessert. We both decided that yes, it was possible for Young Ones episodes to suck the eclairs RIGHT OUT OF THE ROOM... and had to eat them before that horrible fate could happen...
