Day three...
Mar. 9th, 2005 12:33 pm...Day three of being on-call for jury-duty...so far they've frozen the jury numbers and having us all call keep calling in twice a day. (A friend speculates that they're weeding out the first wave of jury members and are keeping the rest to fill in the gaps.)
so the score so far is...
Ms Mausi: 3 (plus yesterday's MIA news, so I'm giving myself an extra point---so make it 4)
Dante's Minimalist Inferno: Zero. Nicht. Nada. Zip.
...meanwhile, I'm getting LOTS of creative stuff done at home. Lots of artwork and knitting.
Fleshing out some sketches I was working on before. It's deeply, deeply satisfying, and I'm very content.
And yesterday emily, Mcohenmn and Queen of Stuff came by for a small celebratory dinner for my job news.
Erin and Matt brought two *tiny* tiny kittens that were abandoned by their mother that same day, and we all took turns petting them very gently, holding their butts while Erin got them to eat with a tiny eyedropper, and cooed when they squeaked. (Did I mention Erin is an awe-inspiring kitten-mommy? It's true. Emily and I were very impressed; she even got the little stubborn "I don't wanna" kitten to eat eventually.) so far they're so little their geners are indeterminate.
(Their eyes are open though, so they might be...four weeks?) We've nicknamed them Bun-bun for the little blue-gray one and Smacky for the tiger-striped gray one with white socks who keeps swatting our fingers (and his/her sibling.) They are soooooooo cute. I must take pictures. Lots and lots of pictures.
So Now I'm going to slack on the couch and watch "Withnal and I" for a while....roll on, jruy duty!!
