This is beginning to be kind of meditative...as meditative as coconut foot cream gets, anyway....ommmmmm....

I found out I reaaaaaally like the second floor of workies...all the ancient anthropological art is here, so I've been happy as the proverbial monkey with the key to the banana plantation. And as I'm getting to know my coworkers better, I'm more and more impressed and curious about them...for the most part they're about my age, and the vast majority of them have been there for years and years, doing artwork on the side and sometimes for and with each other. This is a good sign, I think. I'm leery of places with high turnovers right now. (am I ever...I had a bad dream about the Inferno last night. *shudder*)

And tonight after workies I'll be at Acadia with some knitting. Maybe a coffee, possibly a beer. Definitely some trashy book or something...hmmm, "Elvis and Me" perhaps? I think sooooo!

You need better shoes, Chick-pea.

Alas, I won't be able to join you for knitting tonight. I'd be really sad about it, but I'm going to my first Baseball game of the season! Whoohoo! Yippee!

I think I got some good ones; yesterday wasn't so bad at all...it's the combination that's tricky: shoes, gel inserts, foot lotion, Ibuprofin...
Good shoes are so hard to find...

Oh yeah, it's that time of the season!! I'll knit a row or two for you while you're eating hotdogs and cheering:)

You're probably going to loose weight. I got all kinds of skinnier when I was working retail, and that was only twenty hours a week. I also developed knee pain from pounding all over cement floors in high heels, but yoga fixed me right up.

It's my intention to consume a disgusting amount of nitrates! Woot!

Do they allow you to wear sneakers--running shoes--athletic shoes--whatever you call them. I wear my New Balance shoes anytime I can.
Because I have bad feet I get the $100 kind with a roll bar, extra padding etc. When I went to Germany a couple of years ago, I was the only person there who didn't have any trouble with my feet.

that'll help, too...I could stand to lose me some ballast:)

I may borrow a tape or two of my friend Ben the Neighbor's yoga tapes. I've been using bellydancing stretches to keep my feet going,l and it seems to work, so yoga's the next step, I think...

Nitrates, eh? as in goblets and goblets of red wine? Atta girl!!

They do, as long as they're black. I have two pairs of shoes I wear at work--a pair of black sneakers with extra padding, which are pretty good but not perfect, and a pair of maryjanes with extra padding, which miraculously seem to do the job pretty well...Even last night at closing time my feet were significantly less tired. (some of it's just LOTS of walking around; the regulars tell me that it takes a few weeks to really adjust, no matter what you're wearing...though a roll bar sounds really good to me:))
