What a weird morning...
Jun. 7th, 2005 07:24 amThe sky looks like curdled charcoal cream, and it's swirling ominously right overhead. Verrrrry freaky.
It's humid and a little cool, and it just feels like the sky's gonna fall any second...and the rotating vending machine at work keeps rotating and getting stuck and rotating some more--all by itself. This is kind of unsettling.
I nearly had to punch someone this morning, too. I was waiting at my bus stop, the usual minding my own business sort of thing. My neighborhood isn't a bad one, but the occasional drunk/crazy guy does wander by from time to time. My crazy this morning was barefoot, short, drunk, and completely incoherent--and kept walking towards me, yelling and gesturing and pointing at my shoes for some reason. I found myself in the kata stance I haven't practiced for at least a decade, getting ready to punch his lights out if he tried anything bad. (It was funny--I wasn't even really scared. I was just thinking, "It is too early for this shit, dammit.") Happily no actual punching occured...My bus came, the crazy wandered off, I told the driver and pointed out the guy now harrassing someone else, and he called it in. Woot.
At least I get off early today, so I can spend more time Knitting with the Knitties:) Yay meeeee...

Date: 2005-06-08 02:32 pm (UTC)I'm sorry I couldn't make it to the party...I'm just so overbooked lately; I'm almost never home anymore. I have to find a way to cut it down a little; make things reasonable. I'm very glad you graduated, sir; I know hard you've been working. i'm very proud....
