msfledermausIt's good to be home and relaxing...even though I just bonked the heck out of my kneecap just a second ago...Owwwwww....
*Rubs knee and whines*
I have a day off tomorrow, too...I'm a little overwhelmed. What do I want to do? I should do some mundane things, buying watch batteries and socks, laundry, some basic apartment scrubbing. But even without the scrubbing it so richly deserves, with the windows open and some japanese incense burning...it just feels like heaven. I thought I was a little weird in relishing my own space so much until I started working at the New Job, and learned that Asian scholars have been holing up in their small studios for hundreds of years, Okay, that isn't how I meant that to come out--if they'd holed up for hundreds of years we'd be finding dessicated scholar-corpses locked in rooms with dried ink all over them. Never mind...Where was I again? Oh yeah--wistfully thinking of pen and ink and chimes, tiny miniature gardens indoors, brushes and poems and paintings and music. Sounds like an ideal way to live, really...
Of course they probably had somebody else cleaning up the bedding and cooking the meals.
*looks at dirty dishes and towering mound of laundry*
Eh, tomorrow. Tomorrow I can take care of things. And knit. And take some serious time to goof off in grand style. So. There...
