*jumps up and down in seat, evil grin in place*
I can't help it. Halloween, Samhain, Dia de los Muertos, whatever you call it, it's my favorite holiday, hands-down. I've been waiting patiently all year long, and now it's only 2 weeks away!! I'm not completely sure of the agenda this year, but there's some wiggle room for a wide variety of stuff. Meanwhile, I plan to hang up the delicate tissue-paper calavera banners an ex-coworker gave me, some bat-garlands the Queen of Stuff found for me, and see how many spooooooooky stuff I can put up. (Um...I usually have a fair amount of spooky up year-round; it's not really that much more of a stretch to add more. You should see my Christmas tree...)
I also found some beat-up scrollwork trim at this kind of pricey architectural salvage place next to Cupcake. (I also had a cupcake....mmmm, cupcake!) Perfectly suitable for nailing and gluing onto some wooden board and painting the heck outta, just in time for the holiday. So I have another project to play with, oh yes I do...
And currently I'm stuffing my face with barbecue pork buns. I was a lucky Maus, and went out to dim sum with friends yesterday at a place where everything was quite tasty...but their pork buns were a little "eh." I think my microwave ones were comparable, really. They're really not bad for the price.
*snarfs another one*
Mmmfff mfflffwwf...
