..I *really* need to update my site, don't I? I've got new pictures and everything. I'll have to bug Ben the Neighbor in the future and see if we can come up with something...
Meanwhile, I dropped some dinero on a new flywheel for the spinning wheel to see if that helps some of my trouble, some new bobbins, and a niddy-noddy. (A Niddy Noddy is a great name for a funky stick-thing to measure out the stuff you just spun while you wind it into a tidy skein. Heh, I just like to say it. Niddy-Noddy!!! NIDDY NODDY!!!) I also bought some pretty colored mohair to ply with some black merino for effect. (The spinning wheel can thwart me all she likes, but I can still whip out yarn with the drop spindle until we finally understand each ohther:PPPP)
*siiiiigh* If someone had told me 4 years ago I'd be doing weird things with sheep wool instead of painting, I'd have pointed and laughed. *shakes head sadly*
I'm a weird, weird girl...but at least I'm a warm weird girl.
And someone found a great link to inspire me:
Fishfishknits.com....It's the cutest damn thing I've ever seen...
