Wearing: tank top, sarong, new hemp belt with conch shells braided in, shawl, glasses, a great deal of coconut oil, new sandals, a couple of band-aids. (See sandals.)A fair amount of sand, evenly distributed.
Eating: Cheeseburger in paradise, bebeh. Though earlier I found the sweetest gyoza and ramen bar for lunch.
Drinking: Iced coffee, reminding me to buy more for the hotel room in the morning. A Mai Tai earlier. Heh. My evening doesn't suck, hah?
Seeing: The back end of the bazarre I just walked through, a team of hula dancers a few minutes ago. They were pretty good, too:)
Thinking: That I'm really enjoying my friends' company, but it's also really good to have a night to myself to goof off, catch up, that kind of thing.
Marvelling at: all the Japanese tourists here for Valentine's day weddings, the fact that I can actually understand the odd word with my bad-tourist Japanese, How good it is to eat macadamia nuts in the rain on a street corner facing the beach. This cafe is a marvel, too...a sweet little island of geekiness in the sea of pastel tourists. They even have used sf books for sale at the counter:))))
Stuff I've seen today: The zoo. The Queen of Stuff and I were watching the elephants get a spa treatment--bath and snacks. Woww, the elephant looked happy about it... The meercats were amusing, and all around are these funny little birds that look like a cross between cardinals and chickadees. What else...the beach of course. Mmmm, I love the beach so very very much... I've seen lots of band-aids for my feet, too, but it's a small price to pay for being able to walk to so many cool things...
Realizing: It's 8:00 already...holy painted coconuts the time goes fast here...I thing it must be about midnight at home, or pretty close to it...
So to sum up: My vacation's really great so far. I wish I could bring you all and have a frolic on the beach this valentine's day...
