I know I should be posting something about our new airlines scare, or any one of the various wars going on, etcetra. I have a wide array of opinions, many of them highly subjective and snarky.

Instead, I wanna bake a huge double-layer chocolate cake with buttercream frosting and some kind of gratuitous fruit on the top. I have a cake craving that is taking over my higher cerebral functions. cake I've ben trying to ignore this craving for cake several hours. This of course,cakecake is making it much worse than if I just caved in this morning cakecakecakeChocolate cake, dammit!and just bought something from the coffee coffeecake shop that costs too much and I might have to anyway and I JUST WANNA EAT SOME CAAAAAAAAAAAAKE!!!

I've also been on a chocolate kick lately. Cake, brownies, ice cream etc.. Basically anything chocolate LOL. As far as fruit topping goes, I recommend strawberries. It doesn't get much better than strawberries and chocolate cake.

My birthday is in a week, and my wife says she is going to make me the Best Cake Ever. The only clue I have as to what it may be is that peaches are involved, and at this time of summer, they will probably be fantastic. So think of my week-long Countdown To Cake.
