"Do not lick the art" redux...
Dec. 15th, 2006 02:19 pm...a long time ago and far far away I had a friend/coworker who had to tell someone not to bribe his girlfriend into licking an installation artwork consisting chiefly of dried meat...We all had a pretty good laugh at the time.
Today I had to tell off a bunch of teenage girls for making lascivious tongue-ey gestures at the bust of a bust. At first they thought I was objecting to them taking pictures of their attempted tongue-action, with my appalled squeak of, "What are you DOING?!?!" I had to tell them very clearly and distinctly that you're not allowed that close to anything in the Jade Mines, not with any particular body part and especially not any part that has lots of saliva involved...
The moral of the story?
No matter where you go or what you're doing, people will try to lick what they shouldn't. Especially in public. My advice? Don't let 'em...
