Feeling better...
Dec. 27th, 2006 11:18 amI can actually smell and taste things again...happy happy me!!
And now I can catch up with all the stuff I hadn't done because I was sick. I caught up with some spinning last night and it made me sooooo happy. I was spinning this very soft Coopworth yarn in a chocolatey grey. I kept petting it in the morning while I was getting ready for work. I'm still very proud of myself that I figured out how to do all this yarny stuff without any help except from lots of books...very good books, though--credit where credit is due:)
I'm still a little mood-swingy these days. I blame it on the end of the year and still being a touch disoriented physically from the surgery I had. But it's amazing to me how fast and well the human body can recover from things. I look at my scar in the mirror sometimes and it's getting harder and harder to see.
You never really appreciate the magic of a healing body until you're really hurt somehow. I'm just happy I can do all those things I really couldn't do after the surgical stuff without pain--sitting up, taking out my own garbage, hot baths, walking long distances, etcetra...
I'm off to eat brie and bagels and whatnot...hope everyone had a good holiday.
