...I thought about posting about the Virginia Tech shooting, but what could I say? It's just too horrible. So I spent most of that day reading "Firebrand" by Marion Zimmer Bradley, about the war and sacking of Troy...Maybe I should have just read some comics instead; I traded recent bloodshed for historical blood at a distance. It always makes me so sad reading about the suffering at Troy, but I can't seem to keep my hands off it. Too many parallels with the current war, or any war,I reckon.
Yesterday I spent mostly washing clothes and knitting and chilling out. I had the radio on later to listen to more details to the shootings, and the whole thing just made me feel sadder and sadder... all those poor people.
At least my moving days are coming up quickly, so I've been plotting and planning what to stuff in boxes first, that sort of thing. Peaty's gotten me a huge bolt of red velvet, enough for curtains and a slipcover for my sofa and a bedspread and apparently to wallpaper the enitre apartment. (I don't think I'll take it that far...) It's so sweet that friends have been scavenging all kinds of things for me--furniture, cloth, tubs to plant things in...even offering cats. *facepalm* I think if I can get around the cat offers I'll do okay:)
So how's things?

In the small world dept.: It turns out that Serendipity was a college roommate of a classmate of mine from high school who I kind of dated a couple times during college. The day we came to this realization, Seren found a reference to web site dated yesterday mentioning that said person had just published a new edition of her law book!!!
Small world filled with mysterious connections, non?
