...I took MCohenmn and the Queen of Stuff to see my new Maushaus tonight. Even with a few flaws like a couple of lights out and the back locks not being changed yet, it's a gorgeously big place.
I called Peaty and Ben the Once and Future Neighbor, and they stopped by from next door to romp and play in the big empty spaces. Ben brought some sage and some rock salt, and we smudged the rooms while playing an immensely fun game of, "Bedroom!" "No, CraftRoom!" "Whoo, lookit this hidey-cabinet! Yarn storage!!!" "Front room with the fireplace is the bedrooooooom!!" "Oh god, your walk in closet!! *evil falsetto* You BIIITCH" "Look, lookit, you can see the river!!" "The tub has green feets! Isn't that cute?"...Peaty strung up a spanking-new clothesline for me, and I made plans in my head for furniture and colors...then changed them. Then changed them again. I'm sure I'll have lots of time to figure out how things are going to look. But part of me is a little frightened by all the space and wonderfulness of it all...it's just so good. *Bites lip nervously*

We even went upstairs to the attic space above me, which looked beautiful and abandoned. Ben says it could have been a whole other apartment space if it had a back way out. It had old dormers and a small widow's walk and everything...Just amazing. Nobody uses it for storage, since people are only supposed to go up there to check on the furnace. But somehow with the size of the new digs I think storage isn't going to be a problem anymore:)

Oh man, once I actually get some stuff hauled in from the old Maushaus, think of the fun I'm going to have...it's the biggest diaroma I've ever had access to.
