I had the greatest evening. I had my beloved cow-irker Gail over for dinner along with Matt and Erin. Before long, we trooped off to feed the chickens leftover pasta, and ran into Ben the Neighbor. We spoiled the chickens rotten, and I'm ashamed to say they enjoyed it immensely. Just as I had gotten out of the kitchen with bowls of peaches and cream the doorbell rang and there was Peaty and Leslie, carrying a beautiful cherrywood desk for me. We installed it, cooed over it, stuck some wool roving in a fancy bowl and cooed some more, and before I knew it I had a full living room gleefully stuffing themselves with peaches, whipping cream and butterscotch.
Everybody's gone home now. And I am a very happy Maus indeed. It was good to soak up all the friends-and-neighbor-love. Ben the Neighbor checked out my computer, and promtly infested my screen with small sheep. There are about 8 or 9 of them cavorting all over this page as I type. I love me the neighbors...
Now, bath and bed. Also good things.
