Sick Day...
Sep. 19th, 2007 10:55 amI've been fighting some kind of stomachy thing for the past few days. Last night I was dizzy on top of being nauseated, so I called in sick for Talk Like a Pirate Day. So now I'm home in pajamas drinking mint tea and doing laundry. Yarr. My ears are stuffed up, and I have the spins from time to time. I still feel like oog, so why do I feel like I'm playing hooky? *Sigh* The ghosts of our mother's admonitions live on and on in our sick days...
But this means I get to feel caught up at home. Caught up meaning, time to knit on the couch and actually *be* sick, instead of taking care of the bazillion little things that should get done. Did I plug in the cellphone? Did I wash those breakfast dishes? Bills? What about putting the books away, or finding my electrical tape, or doing something decorative with the kitchen windows? What about that art piece I should work on? There's just soooooo much I should do...
Ah, screw it. This morning's big decision is: Marie Antoinette on DVD? Or Titanic? or Practical Magic? I can cosily knit and sleep through all of these. Yarr!

Don't worry about all the stuff to do at home. Just get some rest, mmmkay? *Mr. Mackey voice* :)
