Autumn = Emo introspection...

Maybe it's all the dark rainy weather lately. Could be something in my mysterious astrological charts. Perhaps it's something I ate. I don't pretend to understand, but lately I've been thinking a lot about past stuff. My teenage years especially. (I'm guessing it's because school started; part of me still wants a binder and some new pens.) It's a bit galling, because for the most part I really didn't enjoy my teenage years particularly. I moved around a fair bit and the last couple of years were especially stressful. (Like everybody's, I think. Which is another reason why it's irritating and emo, and why I wish it would just work it's way out of my system.)

But I got a chance to relax last night with the new alpaca roving, and filled a bobbin full of very soft, lofty and heathery yarn. Mmmmmm....it felt reeeeeally nice to spin! Spinning really has some good connections to meditation... I could use a little more of it tonight after work:)

Funny, I was thinking about school this morning. The warm, rainy, foggy weather reminded me of going back to school with a new metal lunchbox. The colors, the smells, the excitement of something new, the cozy feeling inside the lighted classroom. All very vivid.

hey, you have a box of pens somewhere that you haven't seen in a while? go ahead and pull out a few of those...
