Sorry I hadn't posted for a couple of days...I had my hands full with getting my place ready for a party:)

It was a good party--just enough people, food and drink, with candles and candy and cupcakes and scary ghosts and neighbors and all kinds of fun. We had fun lighting the candle that looked like a severed foot, and the other neighbors strung a cool ghosty thing that made "Whoooooo" noises and lit up blue and waggled it's arms around when you clapped at it. I *must* have more parties, now that I have the space to do it!!!

The only downside is that my crazy neighbor in the house next door apparently stole some hostas from not only Ben the Neighbor and Peaty, but also from *MY* yard. I found the holes where they were when I was throwing out the beer bottles this morning. I reported it to the new manager, who sounded extremely pissed off at the guy in question, so I'm hoping my little bit of fuel on the fire will help the crazy guy get evicted. *fingers crossed*

So, How's things?

I'm sure you have dozens of other reasons to dislike your neighbor, but stealing a hosta? People pay have those things thinned out. I bet you won't even notice it next summer.

I'm sure this is true. However, he also looted some other plants from Ben and Peat's side of the yard and planted them in the space where the back deck used to be. It's not there anymore because he took out all the bricks that were originally put in as a communal effort and sold them to people. He's gotten into verbal fights with the house neighbors in his building and squirted Peaty in the face with a garden hose. He's threatened to kill the ckickens next door. He's had the police called on him repeatly for petty theft. He's a crazy jerkoff, and since the management has ignored his craziness he now feels safe enough to steal from us too. He's also trying to put in a shed of some kind, which he doesn't have clearance for...it's supposed to be removed by November first, but since he's crazy he's putting in *more* stuff in the space.

I know I probably sound unreasonably annoyed, but seriously, I'm afraid he's going to do something *really* bad because things have gone on so long. At least we have a new manager, and I sincerely hope he's taking all this seriously.

Good grief, between this guy and the beverage dictator, you have TWO seriously delusional people in your life!

Is this guy a renter, or does he own the property?

He's a renter; part of the co-op. But he's breaking his lease with all this crap, so I'm hoping the management company will toss him out on his hinder:(

What would happen if you dug up the hosta and put them back in your yard?

I'm tempted. I am a little afraid he'd come after me with the shovel, but since he's a hard-drinking kind of guy I might be able to dodge or whack him with a rake or something...

Seriously, I know it's not a good idea to confront the crazy-folk, even though an escalation may be the leverage we all need to get this whacko out of the house next door. I'm torn; really I am...

It's true. Never get into a pissing contest with a skunk.

Sorry about the crazy.
