...I love coming home from work. All that autumn makes me so happy...

Even with a little drama, the Island is my heaven. And there was a bit of drama, too--on top of the plants the crazy neighbor stole from the yard, we also discovered today he was planting new ones in MY side of the yard. Grrrr!!! My downstairs neighbor and I concurred that this would not be tolerated at the Happy Yellow House, and I evicted the interloping daylilies with extreme prejudice. I also sent off a quick e-mail to the co-op people. I will also deal summarily with any other little gardeny suprises I find in the yard. Nobody messes with my topsoil, bebeh...Nobody!!!Bwahahahahaaa!!

Okay, so Halloween and Samhain have got me in a *mood* Sue me...

And I still have a nice reward waiting for me, in the form of a sparkly little bath bomb. I went to the LUSH store in the Sprawl of Atrocities this weekend, and I nearly fainted with the unsuppressed glee of alllllll that bathgoop, and all for meeeee!

I am very very pleased with myself, oh yes indeedy...

Hey, can you knit me a hat that looks like a powdered wig? I'll pay you.

I think I could without too much trouble. If you're shooting for Halloween, though, I think it might be a bit of a time-crunch. How big a pouf are we talkin' here?

If it is a Halloween party-thing, I'd hit Ragstock and buy a bunch of wigs that are either white or blonde and layer them on top of each other with a hot-glue gun, setting them up with cold glue and whatnot, and powdering the enitre mess when you've got the loftiness you're going for. I've been reading up on this whole Marie Antoinette hairstyle thing, and apparently there is no such thing as too over-the-top on this baby...

Not for Halloween! For every day. No time crunch. I'm thinking George Washington. I was inspired by your friend with a potholder on his head, but I'm also invisioning rows.

Well, then, how cool is that? I would love to make a Georgie!! I was thinking you wanted a huge Marie Antoinette style sorta thing:)

What would you like it made of? I wonder how mohair would be...

Pop a bath bomb in a pre-run bath and it erupts in a mass of fragrant fizzing, sometimes launching flower petals, leaves, natural butters, and even confetti into the bath water. After a mad frenzy it calms down and gently scents the water with natural essential oils.

If the land didn't belong to my other nice neighbors, I'd plant Sporks--I think the only place that has the spoon-fork is Kentucky-Fried Chickeny Bits.

I live on NIcollet Island now, halway across the Hennepin Avenue bridge. It's nice here, I really love it. It's just that neighbor that's a fly in the ointment.

That is a bucking fummer when you can't trust your neighbors... And then to compound the insult by replacing your hostas with their shit... People can be so ridiculous...

I'll be back in town for one evening this week: Halloween! I don't have any plans, yet. I was hoping to be able to check out the Frida exhibit at the Minimalist Inferno.. Unfortunately, they're not open late on Wednesdays (or are they?). Have a good All Hallows Week (Samhain, and Dia de los Muertos, too)

Nope, Walker isn't open late on Wednesdays. D'ohhhh...

I'll have to see what my schedule's like Wednesday. I think I can manage some afternoon coffee in Nordeast, for a change:)
