Scary cake, scary snow...

msfledermaus...I'm looking outside at all the snow we got yesterday. I wanna have a day like yesterday, where I nested and made tea and watched South Park and Harry Potter until my brains fell out. No such luck today--the Jade Mines are open for business. Though I think we won't get much in the way of visitors...
Meanwhile I have a scary cake lurking in my fridge. It was the result of one of my horrible cake experiments that went horribly, horribly wrong. It's pink, and covered in lumpy cherries, and the frosting was runny again. *sigh* The second layer of the cake is in it's own bowl after it had had a minor earthquake and became very unstable. It was a birthday cake for Matt, too...Happily, I took the ugly cake and made it uglier on purpose with orange and yellow sprinkles and weird candles. The result was sickly amusing, and now Matt has blackmail photos of the Horrible Cake. I won't show them here, it's just too awful to contemplate.
Memo to myself: Stick to cupcakes...
