How you doon? I know it's been a tough year for you up at the North Pole--all the ice warming up and dropping into the ocean, Polar bears chasing the elves, Mrs Claus leaving hints about the Victoria's Secret Catalogue lying around, Bear Grylls hiking into your backyard and trying to show the cameras how to skin and eat reindeer to survive... So in recognition of all this and more, I'm leaving out extra Bailey's with your milk and cookies this year. It's only fair...
I've been very good this year, and I know you've given me a lot of the things I've really wanted early. My beautiful home. My little washer/dryer, who I've named Chug-Chug. A Hawaiian vacation, complete with sea turtles and volcanoes. Friendship and love and trust and good times. Some lovely art, made or given to me by sweet friends. So this year I'm not really asking for much for the holidays...
I would like:
One big fat bag of time. Time to do all kinds of cool stuff. Time without penalty or layoffs or jury duty or anything like that. Just a nice fat wad of time to get caught up and enjoy all the good things.
My friends and family to be healthy and happy. For that matter, for me to be healthier--this year's cold season's really kicked me in the butt. Do you have something for multiple viruses that doesn't come from Bill Gates?
To come to terms gracefully with aging. Not that I'm er, old, y'see, especially, I mean, look who I'm talking to here; you've been doing this for how long? Oh-wait--I'm not saying you're old...D'ohhhhhhh *Facepalm*
I would like the Cake Fairies to come and grant me the power to make the Perfect Damn Cake Everytime. This sounds trivial, but it's really not...
I would like the art to come out of my head and onto the paper or yarn or plastic or what have you just like it oughtta look.

Mmmm, time would be good. I have a couple of extra days off here and there before the new year, but I could use an actual vacation, I think. Even just being home with some paint and watching the river go by seems blissful:) I hope you get some well-earned downtime, too...
