...Today I've been guarding the Fountain court, while the florists are taking out all the X-mas shrubbery. Turns out one of the florists is the lead singer for the local band Faggot, which I love. He's also amazingly funny and a friend of Captain Emily, so I've been having the best time ever guarding the fountain and helping to find ladders and whatnot. The fountain itself is about 500 years old, so my job is to make sure no huge pieces come off while they have to drain it and balance ladders on the sides ever so gently while yanking curly willow and cedar branches out of the foamy green stuff florists use. So far no tragedy has occurred; just lots and lots of pine needles everywhere as Tim pulls out the green bits...

Now the breakroom is covered with GIANT pinecones from the fountain shrubs, free for the taking. What happens when I put lots and lots of glitter on giant pinecones? Can astronauts see them from space? I'm gonna find out tonight...And after I glitter them I will plant a few in front of Ben and Peaty's steps, just to be cheeky. Don't tell them, 'kay? It's bad enough I keep stealing their snow...

*waggles pinecone on a stick threateningly at the screen*

A glittery pine cone would look good on the end of your clue stick ;)

hee hee do you remember as a kid making goofy "bird feeders" from pine cones- sticking peanut butter in the cracks and rolling them in seeds?
I'm imagining a HUGE one for HUGE birds like pileated woodpeckers or somesuch. ;)

I bet I'd get huge killer opossums taking the pinecone and eating it on my balcony or something...and I'd have to take pictures!
