msfledermaus | Late posting, flowers and sea turtles...

Winter doltrums. So far they've been horribly doldrum-y.

But I've been staving them off with memories of sunny beaches and sea turtles, and enjoying the flowers on second floor they've got set up for an event tonight. Lotsa red, very cheerful. Also, I've been addicting my cow-irkers to things on Youtube for no good reason. Heh, I just showed "Drunken Jedi Master" to my boss on break, who marveled at what you can do with a mic stand and some photoshop...

It helps so much...though lately I've been struggling still with Busy verses Indolence. The in-head conversation goes like this:

Busy: "Hey, didja finish that thing you wanted to finish, didja, didja?"
Me: "Shut up already; Nooooo I did not, I'm in the middle of this other thing."
Busy: "But You can do this and this and this and this before you go to sleep. and wouldn't you like to do somma this too?"
Me: "But I'm already busy, Busy!!"
Indolence: "Hey, what about just laying on the couch with a book? I like that!"
Busy: "She's too busy for that, can't you see she's busy?"
Indolence: "But it's dark, and cold, and I'm tiiiiiiired..."
Me: "Me too, Indolence. Me too."
Busy: *dangles yarn and art supplies just out of reach*
Me: Sometimes I just hate you, Busy... *grabs yarn, knits furiously...*

I think Busy talks a good game lately, but Indolence is winning due to cold weather and warm things and meatloaf...
