Last night I should have done some sensible things and gone to bed early. I shoulda. Buuuuuut...Nope nope nope...
Instead I ended up with ben and Peaty at their house, toasting a friend of theirs with champagne to celebrate his moving into the neighborhood. We watched trashy shows on tv like "Crowned" and "Project Runway". We snacked. Ben made up another bizarre dark-blue concoction we all had to try. And then, just as I was going back home, Ben and Peaty grinned and said, "Ohhh, no you don't! We have a birthday present for you...once we get to the comemrcials." Once we unglued our eyes from the bitchy carnage of Bravo, they presented me with a Hogwarts notebook...and inside the notebook was a very *long* list of plants. "What's this?" I asked them. They grinned even more. "These are your plants! " "What?!" "Yep, they're coming in the mail, and once it's warm enough we're planting you a garden by the yard table and chairs...See how many are good for dyeing plants?" I hugged them for about ten mintues straight. Those boys...those sweet neighbor boys of mine...They gave me woad and dyeing beets and foxgloves and basil and more basil and black sunflowers...*wipes away happy tear*
And to top off the happiness, the management company came by yesterday to start dismantling the weird crap the Evil Neighbor put in the communal space in the back. They even let Peaty use the sledgehammer at one point, and he gleefully awarded them with fresh eggs:)
So, I can walk around today, dreaming of little Witchy gardens full of joy...
